Moshe Roas’ work hangs below an awning at the entrance of the converted exhibition space (formerly the workshop of artist Yichiel Shemi). The work “Achziv” is a textile construction assembled from large iron skeletons suspended in the air by a network of interwoven threads. The textile elements and their detachment from the ground create a great contrast from the massive bulk and heavy bases that characterized the late Shemi’s works. Continue Reading
